Waterdruppel op vingertop

Extreme macro photograph looking almost straight down onto a fingertip holding a single glossy drop of clear serum, the domed surface reflecting a soft blurred window and pale sky. Shot with a 90mm macro lens at f/3.5 on a copy stand, the camera mounted directly overhead but tipped a few degrees to avoid a flat clinical look, the photographer holding tight focus on the skin ridges and one tiny hair beside the drop. Diffuse overcast daylight from a nearby window, soft and directional, a gentle warm reflector below lifting the shadows. The serum acts as a lens, showing an inverted refraction of the window inside it, the rest of the frame falling into smooth creamy bokeh. Shot on Kodak Gold 200, fine film grain, gentle halation, warm muted color grade, slightly underexposed. Drop placed off-center in the lower right, generous negative space of soft blur, subtle vignette and a fleck of dust. 4:3.
